H. W. McArthor [sic], one of Gainesville's most highly beloved and respected citizens and a man noted for this kindness to the poor, died at his residence on Brenau avenue this morning at 10:30 o'clock from paralysis. He had been confined to his bed for the past eight weeks. Rev. McArthor was well known throughout the state, and had scores of friends in Atlanta, where he spent a great part of his time, and owning valuable real estate there. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hartman H. Grigg and Miss Frances McArthor, both of this city. The funeral will occur tomorrow afternoon at 4 o'clock, at the First Methodist Church, and the interment will be in Woodlawn cemetery.
