Stephens wend@bellsouth.net March 30, 2004, 8:35 pm (The Daily Times, Gainesville, GA., April 29, 1957, page 5) Hattie Mae Myers, 68, Purina Drive, Gainesville, route 4, died Sunday at the Hall County, Hospital after a short illness. Born in White County, Mrs. Myers lived in Hall County for the past 45 years. She was a member of the Baptist denomination for 55 years. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. from the Skitts Mountain Baptist Church with the Rev. Jack Pearce and the Rev. Milton Burdett officiating. Interment will be at the church cemetery. Surviving are her husband; William J. Myers, Gainesville; four daughters: Mrs. Beaulah Glenn, Commerce, Mrs. J. D. Dodd, Mrs. C. L. Ledford, and Mrs. Robert Rochester, all of Gainesville; six sons: D.G. and Grady Myers, both of Athens, Fred Myers, Carnesville; W. C. Myers, Lexington; J. B. Myers, Commerce and Willie Myers, Gainesville; three brothers: W. N. Smith, Lula; Tom Smith, Carnesville: B. W. Smith, Rome: one sister: Mrs. Avie Loggins, Gainesville; 29 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Ward's Funeral home has charge of arrangements.
