William Baxter Oliver, Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday (April 
20) from the Skitts Mountain Baptist Church for William Baxter Oliver, 75, 
Lula, route 1.  The Rev. Claude Hood and Roy Irvin will officiate, and 
interment will be in the church cemetery.  Survivors are his wife Mrs. Lillie 
Myers Oliver, Lula, route 1; one daughter, Mrs. Willie Mae Savage, Doraville; 
five sons, N.C. Oliver, Shelton Oliver, Wiley Oliver and E.B. Oliver, all of 
Lula, route 1; James Oliver, Gainesville; two brothers, D. D. Oliver, Lula; R. 
A. Oliver, Gainesville; 34 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren.  Ward's 
Funeral Home of Gainesville is in charge of arrangements. (The Daily Times,
