Gainesville, Ga., April 28- W. C. Porter died at his home on East Broad street in his eighty-eighth year. He moved here from White county six years ago. His wife, who was Miss Eliza Craven, and the following children survive him: Mrs. J. L. Pitchford, W. J. Porter, Mrs. L. T. Fuller, of Gainesville; Mrs. Lula Bristol, of Altus, Okla.; Mrs. Hattie Sanderson, of Altus, Okla.; Mrs. Jesse Cherry, of Hayden, Colo.; one brother, Carter Porter, of Westminster, S. C., is living. The funeral services were from the home, and the body was buried in Alta Vista cemetery.
