Funeral services will be held Friday (March 6) at 2:30 p.m. at Skitts Mountain 
Baptist Church for Jasper Newton"Newt" Satterfield, 74, Lula Route 1, who died 
Wednesday (March 4) at the residence.  The Rev. Garnett Campbell will 
officiate, assisted by the Rev. Sewell Nix.  Interment will be in the church 
cemetery.  Mr. Satterfield had lived in Hall County for the past 45 years and 
was a farmer.  He was a member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church, where he was 
a deacon, for 40 years.  Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Linie Myers Satterfield, 
Lula route 1; six sons, Arnold, Gainesville route 6, Clyde, Clermont route 1, 
Buford, Lula route 1, Wornie, Chattanooga, Tenn., Almond, Cleveland route 1, 
and Thester Satterfield, Cleveland route 2; four daughters, Mrs. Lewis Autry 
and Mrs. Hoyt Sosebee, Cleveland route 2, Mrs. J. C. Irvin, Cleveland route 1, 
and Mrs. Grady Savage, Lula route 1; one brother Paul Satterfield, New Holland; 
one sister, Mrs. Carrie Garner, Cleveland route 1; 35 grandchildren and 20 
great-grandchildren.  Ward's Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.  (The
