Death of Dr. Shaffer.

Gainesville, Ga., May 26-
Dr. A. J. Shaffer, a prominent physician and surgeon of Gainesville, died at 
his home of West Broad street, this morning at 8:30 o'clock, after a lingering 
sickness.  He has been in failing health for some time, and has been confined 
to his room for about two or three months.  He has lived in this place for 
twelve years, having moved here from Lawrenceville.  He had quite a reputation 
as a surgeon and at one time had a fine practice.
