Flowery Branch - Funeral services were held at Vickers Chapel for Albert 
Franklin Thomas, Flowery Branch, route 2. 

   The Rev. Joe Vernon and O'Dean McNeal officiated. Interred at Poplar Springs 
Baptist Church Cemetery.

   Mr. Thomas died Saturday in a private nursing home following an extended 
illness. 

   Survivors include five sons, Arthur Thomas, Flower Branch; Gus J. Thomas, 
George W. Thomas, Grover Thomas, all of Flowery Branch, route 1. Two daughters, 
Mrs. C.A. Couch, Flowery Branch route 1; Mrs. Frances Phagan, Macon. Three 
brothers, Roscoe Thomas, Gainesville; Richard Thomas, Gainesville; Willis 
Thomas, New Holland; two sisters, Mrs. Lou Hollifield, New Holland; Mrs. Bell 
Kidd, Gainesville; 18 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren.
