Thompson Is Laid to Rest at Lula Mrs. Annie B. Thompson, 61, wife of Mr. J.O. Thompson of Lula, died Wednesday Aug. 9, after an illness of a few weeks. She was married to Mr. Thompson 45 years ago at the age of 15. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church in Banks county. Besides her husband she is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Q.A. Johnston of Jacksonville, Fla.; three sons: Clarence Thompson, S1c United States Navy; Techinical Sergeant Joe Thompson, stationed at Camp Blanding, Fla.; Master Sergeant Luther Thompson of the Army Air Forces, stationed at Wright Field,Dayton, Ohio; and 11 grandchildren. Also a brother, John Morris of Alto, and two sisters, Mrs. Emory Jordan of Centre, Ala. and Mrs. Dave Baty of Clayton, Ala. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Jarrard, Rev. G.W. Wallace and Rev. Mr. Smith, at the Lula Baptist Church; interment was at Lula cemetery. Pallbarers were Luther Thompson, Joe Thompson, Clarence Thompson, Oscar Smelley, Charlie Thompson and M.E. Browning. Iitchie & Co. funeral directors. Additional Comments: Annie Blanch Morris Thompson is buried side by side of husband, Jessie Oliver Thompson, Westview cemetery, Lula, Ga. She is the daughter of McKinny Morris, Civil War Veteran from Banks county.
