MORTUARY.

Gainesville, Ga., January 8-
The remains of Mrs. M. M. Whelchel arrived in this city from Chickamauga Friday 
and were carried to New Bridge church where her funeral was preached by Rev. R. 
D. Hawkins, and where the body was interred.  Her death was sudden, being due 
to heart failure, and occurred at the home of her daughter where she was 
visiting.  She was the wife of Aleck Whelchel, and was prominently related 
throughout this county.
She was 65 years of age and leaves several grown children.
