The services at the grave were conducted by Rev. F. D. Cantrell, of St. Paul Methodist church. Mrs. Georgia Brewster Wilkes was born in Gainesville and moved to Atlanta when a young girl. She married Col. Sam W. Wilkes, of the Georgia railroad, in Atlanta 25 years ago. One child, Miss Marjorie Wilkes, survives the union. Mrs. Wilkes was a granddaughter of the late Dr. Richard Banks, the eminent oculist of this state. Mrs. Wilkes was the daughter of Captain Walter S. Brewster and Susan Banks Brewster. She was a graduate of Wesleyan college and was a cousin of Major Archibald Butt of the Titanic disaster.
