Gainsville Eagle, Thursday, August 6, 1896
Copy of obituary for W. K. Williams received from Chestatee Regional Library, 
Gainesville.  The obit was printed in the Gainesville Eagle on Thursday, 
August 6, 1896 and it reads:  W. K. Williams Dead.  W. K. Williams, who was a 
member of the Gainesville bar, died last Friday from cancer of the stomach, 
from which he had suffered for a long while.  The funeral services were 
conducted at the residence by Rev. Mr. Yarbrough and Judge Kimsey, and the 
remains were interred Saturday afternoon at Alta Vista by the Odd-Fellows.  On 
Sunday impressive Masonic ceremonies were conducted at the grave by Drs. Oslin 
and Mark Ham in the presence of a large number of the fraternity.  Mr. 
Williams moved to this place from Cleveland some 10 years ago, and had a high 
standing among our people.  He leaves a widow and eight children.
