K. Williams received from Chestatee Regional Library, Gainesville. The obit was printed in the Gainesville Eagle on Thursday, August 6, 1896 and it reads: W. K. Williams Dead. W. K. Williams, who was a member of the Gainesville bar, died last Friday from cancer of the stomach, from which he had suffered for a long while. The funeral services were conducted at the residence by Rev. Mr. Yarbrough and Judge Kimsey, and the remains were interred Saturday afternoon at Alta Vista by the Odd-Fellows. On Sunday impressive Masonic ceremonies were conducted at the grave by Drs. Oslin and Mark Ham in the presence of a large number of the fraternity. Mr. Williams moved to this place from Cleveland some 10 years ago, and had a high standing among our people. He leaves a widow and eight children.
