Ga, Hall Co. Will of James Rylee, Senior, 14 January 1835.
I will and bequeath to my beloved son, James Rylee, 5 negros and all my books... 
to my beloved son John Rylee $50. To son, Lent Rylee, $200 and his support provided 
he applies for same in person and if not it is to go to son, James Rylee. To my daughter, 
Letty,wife of Leroy Guthrey $400 in cash. To my daughter, Peggy, wife of Wilson Howington, 
$1 in cash. To my daughter, Betsey, wife of David Morgan, $1 in cash. To my daughter, 
Polly, wife of John Guthrey $50 in cash.

My negro woman, Chaney, has been a faithful servant to me and my family and is now to 
be a servant to no one. Her daughter Caroline is to remain with her mother until age 
15 and she is then to belong to my son, James Rylee. My son, James is to care for and 
provide for Chany for the rest of her life.
