Nathaniel was the son of Jacob and Elliner Beall. Both Nathaniel and Jacob were Revolutionary War soldiers. James Edward died around 1830 in Jasper County, Georgia. This section was part of original Monroe County. He married Elizabeth Woodham and their children were: Jesse, Dunreath, James Edward, Jr. Eliza, Helena, Mercerm and Amanda Adeline Beall. Elizabeth died about 1822. James married second, her sister, Linda. By this marriage he had the following children: Sophia, Sallie, Everett and Mark A. Beall. Amanda Adeline Beall, born Dec 29, 1820 married Septimus L. Brewer on May 3, 1838, either in Jasper County or Monroe County. They raised their family in Taylor County. Amanda died June 29, 1896.
