Stephen x(his) Ellance (mark) 22 February 1814 Rec'd of Zephaniah Harvey administrator of the Estate of Benjamin Maddux dec'd the sum of twelve dollars in full of the within account. his James X Ellis mark Additional Comments: In researching the estate of Benjamin Maddux, deceased of Putnam County 1810, I found that Stephen Ellace went before Judge Cooper to claim a debt owned by Benjamin as the administrator of an unknown estate (possibly Alexander Maddux's estate in Greene County, GA). I am hoping to get to see the minutes of Hancock County to see if anything extra was recorded, such as Stephen's wife's name and direct relationship noted to the deceased in question.
