All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 October 23, 2007, 12:35 am Written: April 4, 1837 Recorded: October 4, 1837 Deed Book O, page 561 Georgia, Hancock County Know all men by these presents that I, Mark Barefield of the County of Hancock and State of Georgia, for and in consideration of certain causes thereunto moving, as well as for the further consideration of five dollars to me in hand paid by Axham[?] Brake of said County the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do grant and convey unto the said Brake the Shop in Mount Zion Hill, known as James Smith's Shoe Makers shop, situate on the main street in the village of said Mount Zion, adjoining the said Mark Barefield's lot, and opposite to the Black Smith's shop. Together with all and singular the ground on which the said building stands. To Have and to Hold the said ground and building & thereon now standing. And I do hereby warrant and defend the said property against myself, my heirs & assigns, and against all and every other person claiming under me, and the foregoing is only intended by the parties as a relinquishment or Quit Claim.
