This Indenture mad[e] this eleventh day of June, in the yeare 1802 and in the 
twenty sixth yeare of America independency, between Solomon Barfield Sen’r of 
the county and State aforesaid of the one part and Solomon Barfield Jun’r of 
the aforesaid State and County of the other part,  Witnesseth that the said 
Solomon Barfield Sen’r for and in consideration of the sum of five hundred 
dollars to him in hand paid by Solomon Barfield Jun’r at the sealing & 
delivery of these preasents Hath bargained sold and delivered and by these 
presidents doth trancefare and Sell, unto the aforesaid Solomon Barfield jun’r 
all that tract or parsel of Land lying and being on each side of Folsoms 
Creek, in the County aforesaid.  Beginning at Hickery running South east 
thirty five chane and six links to a stake corner from thence North forty 
degrees West, fifty Seven chane to a pine thence South fifty degrees West, to 
a post oak corner, thence South forty degrees East and fifty chains to the 
Beginning X corner.  Containing two hundred Acres, the same being more or 
less.  To have and to hold all that tract or parcel of land which was granted 
to Solomon Barfield Sen’r the fifth of October, in the yeare 1785, with all 
and Singler the rights and apurtainancess thereunto belong[ing] to and the 
said Solomon Barfield Sen’r for himself and his heirs and assigns, doe forever 
warrant the sd. Tract or parsel of Land, unto Solomon Barfield Ju’r his heirs 
and assigns forever, against all claims or demands whatsoever doath warrant 
and defend the same.
In Witness whareof he hath hereunto Set his hand & Seal the day and year above 
written.
