This file was contributed by: Judith Tyson Raymond HRay581257@aol.com ==================================================================== John Cain To Job Tyson Dated 17 February 1802 Registered 18 February 1807 Page 165, Book H Indexed This Indenture made this seventeenth day of February in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and two, between JOHN CAINE of the County of Wilkes planter of the one part and JOB TYSON of the County of Hancock of the other part Witnesseth that the said John Caine for and in consideration of the sum of fifteen hundred hundred (sic) dollars to him in hand will and truly paid by the said Job Tyson, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge. Hath granted, bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and delivered and by these presents Doth grant bargain, sell alain, (sic) convey deliver and confirm unto the said Job Tyson and his heirs forever all that tract or parcel of land, situate, lying and being in the County of Hancock on the waters of Buffalow (sic) Creek in said County. Containing by estimation two hundred eighty seven and an half acres be the same more or less, originally granted to said John Caine, by Grant bearing date the fourth day of January, in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and eighty six. And also one other track or parcel of Land containing by estimation two hundred and eighty seven and one half acres, situate, lying and being in the said county of Hancock adjoining the said first mentioned tract and granted to John Eady by grant bearing date on the fifteenth day of November, in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty five, as by reference to the said Grant will more fully and – appear. To have and to hold the aforesaid tracts or parcels of land with the rights, members and appurtenances thereunto being belonging or in anywise appertaining unto him the said Job Tyson and his heirs faun ?? in fee simple. But it is understood that the said John Caine or his heirs is not to be ansurable for any interfering lines, ? provided ? there should be five hundred and seventy five acres of Land of clear and indespuitable titles within the two Grants before mentioned. And the said John Cain for himself and his heirs, the aforesaid two ?bounties? to contain at least five hundred and seventy five acres.
