This file was contributed by: Cline Averett averett@innova.net ==================================================================== Georgia Hancock County To all whom these presents may come Greeting Know ye that Noah Doddrige of the county and state aforesaid in consideration of the sum of five hundred dollars received to my full satisfaction of Thomas Gordon of the county and state aforesaid, have bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents doth bargain, sell and convey unto the said Thomas Gordon a certain Negro man by the name of Daniel, about five and twenty of age. To have and to hold the said Negro man, Daniel unto the said Thomas Gordon, his heirs and assigns forever. And the said Noah Doddrige, for himself, his heirs, executors and will forever warrant and defend the said Negro man, Daniel unto said Thomas Gordon against the claim or claims of all and any person or persons whatsoever.
