In 1783 Wilkes County, Georgia, 200 acres of land on Powell's Creek, Aug. 
12, 1783, to Samuel Hart of North Carolina. Deed executed Aug. 19, 1783.
Sanders Walker, Deputy Surveyor. Land adjoined lands owned by William 
Brown and James Griffin. Book Wilkes County Land Grant.
Land Warrant to Samuel Hart 200 acres on Rocky Comfort Creek, 17-5. Page 
405, Book 1.1.1., Wilkes Records.

Adjoining Samuel Hart's Land Wm. Borin (Boring) bought 200 acres of land 
September 5, 1783. Wilkes County Records.

By order of Jared Irwin, General, Governor, and Commander-in-chief of 
Georgia, having given, granted and by there present do give and grant 
unto Samuel Hart his heirs and assigns 200 acres of land in Hancock 
County, Georgia. Northwest by Robert Bryan's land. Northeast by land 
belonging to the heirs of Josiah Spikes; Southwest by Powell Creek, and 
Southeast by land belonging to the heirs of John Griffin. To have and to 
hold said tract or parcel of land unto the said Samuel Hart.

Dec. 12, 1797. Registered Dec. 13, 1797. Book A., Page 97, State Capitol, 
Atlanta, Georgia.

To Samuel Hart - Land Grant. Two Hundred (200) acres in the county of 
Washington, State of Georgia, N. W., by Hanna's land, S. E. by Kelly's 
land, N. E. and S. W. vacant lands. Granted by Governor James Jackson, 
May 3, 1798.

Registered May 24, 1798, Page 553, 5A. Book, Atlanta Georgia, State 
Capitol.

James Hart, son of Samuel Hart, bought February 12, 1812 from William and 
Josian Spikes land adjoining the land of his Mother, Susanna hart in 
Hancock County, Georgia.

Estate of Samuel Hart. (See Will of Samuel Hart, Baldwin County) The 
Executors sold 1 tract of land 202½ acres of land in Baldwin County No. 
303, for $400.00, 12 months credit.

Sold also No. 70, 202½ acres of land in Baldwin County for $500.00 12 
months credit.

Land Record, Hancock County. Mrs. Susanna Hart bought in Hancock County 
for the estate of Brittain Jones, May 30, 1820. Hancock County Records.

Juror County of Hancock. Samuel Hart served as Juror in Hancock County, 
Nov. term 1798, No. 38. Name drawn by Hon. David Dickson.
