Witnesseth that the said John Hill Senr. for and in consideration of the sum of three hundred dollars to him in hand Paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledge, hath given, granted Bargained and Sold and confirmed and by these presents doth, give, grant, bargain, sell & confirm unto the said James Huckeby his heirs or assigns a certain tract or parcel of Land Situate, lying and being in the County of Hancock and State aforesd on the waters of Lodgam creek. Begining at a dogwood corner on Harthorns line running thence S 30-00 to a post Oak corner thence S. 19 W. 27-50 to a pine corner thence N 45 W. 33.50 to a red Oak thence W. 2-70 to a Hickory, thence N to a poplar corner, thence N. 1 E. 5 to a pine corner, thence N. 45 W. 14.50 to a P. Oak corner, thence S. 45 W. 39- 00 to a Hickory Corner thence a Straight line to a Hickory Corner on Joseph Coopers Land, thence S. 81 E. 17-00 to a Hickory Corner thence on a straight line to the begining Dogwood Corner Containing Two hundred and thirteen Acres be the same more or less To have and to hold the said Granted Land and premises with the appertenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining with all and Singular the rights title claim and Interest to the said James Huckeby his Heirs and assigns forever and the said John Hill Senr. for himself his heirs and assigns doth Covenant and agree to and with the said James Huckeby his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns, that he and they shall at all times Hereafter peaceably and quietly possess and enjoy the said Land and premises free and clear from the claim of him his heirs executors administrators And assigns or the claim of any other person or persons whatsoever, which he the said John Hill Senior by these presents doth forever Warrant And defend.
