All rights reserved. http://www.usgwarchives.net/copyright.htm http://www.usgwarchives.net/ga/gafiles.htm ************************************************ File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by: Linda Deppner http://www.genrecords.net/emailregistry/vols/00012.html#0002870 June 20, 2007, 12:38 am Written: November 8, 1792 Recorded: December 23, 1800 Hancock County, Georgia Deed Book G, page 354 State of Georgia This Indenture made this eighth day of November in the year of our Lord, one thousand seven hundred and ninety two in the seventeenth year of the Independency of the United States of America, between Isum Huckebe and Bette his wife of the County of Washington and State aforesaid of the one part and Jacob Parker of the County and State aforesaid of the other part Witnesseth that the said Isum Huckebe and Bette his wife for and in Consideration of the Sum of thirty five Pounds Sterling to him in hand paid by the said Jacob Parker receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged Hath granted bargained, sold aliened and confirmed and by these presents doth sell alien and confirm unto the said Jacob Parker his heirs and assigns Seventy five acres of Land Situate in the State and County aforesaid being a part of five hundred and seventy five acres granted to Henry Chandler the fifteenth of August 1785 Bounded as follows. Beginning at a pine on Marshal’s survey South thirty East to a pine on Seals Survey thence North sixty East to a pine on Justis’s [smudged] land, thence North thirty West on the said Justices line to a pine on Yarboroughs Land thence South Sixty West to the Beginning. Together with all woods, waters [?], watercourses [?], profits and appurtenances whatsoever thereunto belonging To have and to hold, enjoy and possess the said granted land and premises free from all encumbrances whatsoever of him the said Isum Huckebe. And further the said Isum Huckebe and Bette his wife and their heirs the said Land and premises unto the said Jacob Parker his heirs and assigns forever, doth forever warrant and defend from the claim of any person or persons whatsoever. In Witness whereof the said Isum Huckbe and Bette his wife hath set their hands and Seals this date above written. Martin Clk Supr Court Received November 8th 1792 from Jacob Parker thirty five pounds stirling it being the within consideration money for me. Isum (his X mark) Huckebe Witness Edard Brown Jno. Yarborough Georgia H. County Edard Brown came before me and made oath that he was a Subscribing Witness to this within Deed of conveyance and further saith that John Yarborough was another witness with himself.
