This Indenture made this twentieth fifth day of December one thousand Eight 
hundred and Seventeen between William Huckebuy of the State and County 
aforesaid of the one part and Arun Underwood of the State and County of the 
other part.  Witness that in consideration of Eighty Dollars to him in hand 
paid the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged by the [said] William 
Huckeybuy, hath granted, bargained and Sold aliened in fee offed [should 
be “enfeoffed“] released and confirmed unto the said Arun Underwood his heirs 
and assigns forever a certain tract or parcel of land situate lying and being 
in the county of Hancock County and joins Gillilands land beginning at a pine 
Gillilands Corner from thence N. 45 W. 43.50 to a stake, from thence S. 45 W. 
61.50 to black Jack from thence S. 45 E. 30 to pine from thence S. 15 W. 22 to 
a pine from thence S. 75 E. 13 to a pine from thence 13 S. 15 W. 12 to a pine 
from thence S. 75 E. 60.60 to a pine from thence N. 15 E. 80.70 links to the 
beginning, Containing four hundred and fifty acres more or less, to have 
[several words are unreadable at the top of page 215] land and premises with 
the appurtenances thereunto belong[ing] and the said William Huckeybuy does 
warrant and forever defend the said land from him and his heirs and his heirs 
and assigns forever unto the said Arun Underwood and his heirs and assigns 
forever.  In Witness whereof we have set our hands and affixed his seal this 
day and year first above written.
