Georgia, Hancock County
This Indenture made and entered into this 1st July 1833 between Arch'd. R. S. 
Hunter of sd. state and County on the one part and Solomon Barefield of the 
same on the other.  Witnesseth that for and in consideration of the sum of two 
hundred and twenty five dollars to him the said Hunter in hand paid by said 
Barefield, the rec't. whereof is hereby acknowledged the said Hunter has 
bargained and sold unto the said Barefield a certain house and lot in the town 
of Powelton & said State & County, bounding & butting as follows, begining at 
the corner of Williams lot on south, thence down said street to the corner of 
the yard lot, thence S.E. along yd. fence to a post, thence the corner of yard 
to the back of kitchen, thence west along back of kitchen and smoke house and 
on by line of fence to sd. Williams lot, thence N.W. by sd. lot to begining 
corner, embracing the store house, kitchen, smoke, and yard lot, of the lot 
owned by said Hunter, adjoining Battle & others, and containing one eighth of 
acre, more or less, together with all and singular the rights, titles & 
hereditaments thereto belonging.  The said Hunter doth for himself his heirs 
exrs, admrs ???? warrant and defend unto the sd. Bafield [sic] his heirs exrs 
&c in fee simple forever against the right, title, claim or claims of any and 
every person or persons whatever.
In witness whereof the said Hunter has hereto affixed his hand and seal the 
day and date above written.
