The deed reads as follows: State of Georgia Jan. 11, 1792 THOMAS LAMAR & BETSEY his wife of the County of Greene, State of Georgia sold to JOEL DICKINSON one hundred acres of land for the sum of One Hundred Pounds, good and lawful money. All that tract of land containing one hundred and twenty five acres Situated in the said County of Green, on the Water of Shoulderbone Creek and bounded as follows, to wit, beginning at a Dogwood on the said THOMAS LAMAR line, running North thirty one degrees West twenty seven chains & three links to a corner post Oak, thence North fifty nine degrees, last twenty seven chains and eighty links, to a lightwood stake. Then North thiry one degrees, West twenty seven chains and three link, to a corner post Oak, then South thirty One degrees- East fifty four chains & six links to a corner Pine, then South fifty nine degrees, and West to the beginning Dogwood corner.
