Book AB, Pages 3-4 19 March 1794 Page 3 Hancock Deed Book State of Georgia This Indenture made this nineteenth of March in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety four between William Paxton of South Carolina of the one part and James Thweatt of the State of Georgia and County of Hancock of the other part Witnesseth that the said William Paxton for and in Consideration of one of one (sic) hundred pounds sterling to him in hand paid Page 4 The receipt whereof is hereby ^fully^ acknowledged hath bargained sold aligned unto the said James Thweatt his heirs and assigns all that Tract or parcel of Land containing two hundred eighty seven and a half acres Situate lying and being in the County of Hancock formerly Washington on Fort Creek Waters of Shoulderbone and State afore said. Butting and bounding Southeastwardly by Hammock's land Northeastwardly by Colemans land Northwestwardly by Marshall's land and Southwestwardly by Vacant Land at the time of the Original Survey and Granted to the said William Paxton his Heirs and assigns forEver by reference being had to the said Grant bearing date the twenty fourth of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety one will more fully and at large appear together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenances thereunto belonging to Have and to hold the said Granted premisses to the said James Thweatt his heirs and assigns for ever with all and Singular the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any way appertaining thereunto and the said William Paxton for himself his heirs and assigns relinquishes all right Title Interest or Claim in and to the said Lands and will warrant and ^for ever^ defend the same against himself his Heirs and against all ---every other peron (sic) or persons whatsoever in Witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and afixed my Seal the and year written, Sealed sined (sic) and acknowledged William Paxton Seal In the presents of ------ G.
