Witnesseth That the said James Huckebey, for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to him in hand paid, the receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge, hath given, granted, bargained, sold and confirmed and by these presents doth give, grant, bargain, sell, and confirm unto the said Quinny Powell, his heirs and assigns a certain tract or parcel of Land, Situate lying and being in the County aforesaid, on the waters of Logdson Creek, Begining at a Dogwood Corner on Haithorns line, running thence S. 30 to a Post oak Corner, thence S. 19 W. 27.50 to a pine corner, thence N. 45 W. 33.50 to a red oak, thence W 2.70 to a Hickory, thence N. to a poplar cornert, thence N. 1 E. 5 to a pine corner, thence N. 45 W. 14.50 to post oark corner, thence S. 45 W. 39 to a Hickory corner, thence a straight line to a hicoky [hickory?] corner on Joseph Coopers land containing two hundred acres more or less. To have and to hold the said land and premises with the appurtenances thereunto belonging, or in any wise appertaining with all and singular the right title, claim and interest to the said Quinny Powell his heirs and assigns forever. And the said James Huckebey for himself, his heirs and assigns doth covenant and agree too and with the said Quinney Powell, his heirs executors administrators and assigns that he and they shall at all times hereafter, peaceably and quietly possess and enjoy the said land and premises, free and clear from the claim of him the said James Huckebey, his heirs executors administrators or assigns or of any other person or persons whatever, which he by these presents doth forever warrant and defend. Greene State of Georgia Hancock County This day John Sturdavant appeared before me, and made oath that he the deponant saw James Huckerbey sign seal and deliver, the within Deed, for the use within metioned and also saw Miles Greene, subscribe as a witness to the same.
