This file was contributed by: Cline Averett averett@innova.net ==================================================================== Deed: Thomas Pritchit to John Averett (161 Acres) Georgia } Hancock } This indenture made the 10th day of December 1804 between Thomas Pritchit of the one part and John Averett, of the other part witnesseth that the said John Averett, Sr. both of the state and county aforesaid witnesseth that the said Thomas Pritchit hath for and in consideration of the sum of One Hundred and fifty dollars to him in hand paid by the said John Averett, Sr. the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged before the signing of this deed, hath granted bargained sold and confirmed to the said John Averett, Sr. a tract of land situated on the south side of Little Ogeechee in the county above written having such marks natural and artificial as the plat represents. Granted to Richard Worthern by his Excilence James Jackson in the year 1799 containing 161 acres. Beginning at a pine, runs thence No 4 dgs W 44.5 to a stake, thence No 78 degs E 45 to a pine bounded on that side by john Averitt, thence south 21 Et 22 to a stump, thence S 56 D Wt 58.50 to the beginning. And the said Thomas Pritchit do bargain and confirm the above mentioned land and premises together with all priveliges that are therein anyways appertaining thereunto. I therefore warrant and forever defend the above land to said Averitt, his heirs and assigns forever, against all lawfull claims whatsoever.
