Scott, Sheriff of said county, of the one part, and Nancy Averett purchaser at sheriff's sale, of the county of Hancock of the other part, witnesseth that the said John W. Scott Sheriff as aforesaid for and in the consideration of the sum of thirty dollars to me in hand paid, the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, have given, granted, bargained, sold and conveyed and by these presents do give, grant, bargain, sell and convey unto the said Nancy Averett and her heirs forever all the tract or parcel of land sold by me at sheriff's sale on the first Tuesday in March, land situated, lying and being in said county described as follows: a certain tract or parcel of land on the waters of Williams Creek adjoining English and others, containing one hundred and twenty four acres, more or less, levies upon, advertised, and sold to satisfy two executions in favor of Saban Beckom admr., and Saban Beckom bearer, against William Grantham and Archelaus Averett, his security on the appeal as the property of the said Archelaus Averett, to have and to hold the above granted and bargained premises to her the said Nancy Averett and her heirs forever as a good indefeasible estate in fee simple with all the buildings thereon standing and all the appurtances thereunto belonging. And I the said John W. Scott, sheriff as aforementioned do hereby as sheriff bind myself and my successors in office to warrant and defend the above granted and bargained premises from the claim of the defendants from execution and all other persons claiming under to her, the said Nancy Averett and her heirs forever.
