Hancock Co., GA deed book O page 298
Georgia, This Indenture made this third day of August eighteen hundred and 
Thirty beteen Thomas P. Slaughter of the County of Hancock and State aforesaid 
of the one part and Green W. Blount of said County and State of the other part 
Witnesseth that the said Thomas P. Slaughter for and in consideration of the 
sum of one hundred dollars to him in hand paid at and before the sealing and 
delivery of this presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath 
granted bargained sold released and confirmed unto the said Green W. Blount his 
heirs and assigns all that tract of land lying and being in the county & state 
aforesaid adjoining Elisha P. Tuner, John Pinkston and others commonly known as 
a place called Burnt Coat containing sixty aces be the same more or less.
        Together with all and singular the rights members and appurtenancy 
thereto belonging and or appertaining  To Have and to Hold the same with the 
appurtenace, to the only proper use, benefit and behoof of him the said Green 
W. Blount his heirs and assigns forever.  And the said Thomas P. Slaughter doth 
build? himself, his heirs and assigns to warrant and forever defend the title 
of the aforesaid premises - In testimony whereof, he hereunto sets his hand and 
seal this day and year first above written.
