Witnesseth that the said Samson Wilder for and in consideration of the sum of five dollars to him in hand paid at and before the Sealing and delivery of these presents the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged hath bargained, sold, aliened, conveyed and confirmed and by these presents do bargain, sell and convey unto the said John Howard his heirs and assigns all my part and Share as legatee to the Estate of the Said Solomon Barfield Dec’d of that tract lot or parcel of Land Situate lying and being in the County of Hancock in that part formerly Washington County on a branch of little Ogechee called Mill Creek Granted to said Solomon Barfield and surveyed on the fourth day of January Seventeen hundred and Eighty Six by John Hill Assistant Surveyor, having such marks and Shape as will more fully appear by reference to the plat annexed. Containing two hundred eighty seven and a half acres. To have and to hold all my Interest and Shear [sic] in the Said tract lot or parcel of land with all and singular the rights, members and appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining from myself my heirs and assigns forever. In Witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and affixed my Seal this day and year above written.
