Thomas Coleman are the part of the 15th Regt. & Capt. William Hubert Capt. William D. Lucy are the part of the 14th Regt. Are their Successors in office do meet on the first Monday in January next for the purpose of defining the line dividing Said Regiments & the decisions of the said Committee Shall be obligatory on both Regiments. Artillery After the usual oath was administered to the different Officers they proceeded to elect a Clerk & Pro.Vo.Marshall when James H. Jones was reelected Clerk and Henry Rhodes Pro. Vo. Marshall. The Court was opened in due form and proceeded to adopt the following Rules for the Government of the Court. Rule 1st No member Shall Speak without first adressing the President under the penalty of twenty five cents. 2nd No Member shall Speak more than twice on any subject without leave of the President under the penalty of twenty-five cents. 3rd No member Shall leave the room without leave from the President under the penalty of twelve and an halve cents. 4th No member Shall appear in the room intoxicated under the penalty of one dollar. 5th All Officers of the 14th Regiment shall appear at the place of holding the Court of Enquiry at 11 o’clock A. M. under the penalty of fifty cents. ( page 93 ) The following persons privates in Capt. Champion’s Company being duly returned and called as delinquents for failing to appear at the Regimental Muster held at Sparta on the17 last were fined in the Several Sums annexed to their names. Appeal James Cooley------------$1.00 Speir Bradley--------------3.00 Benjamin Jones a private in Capt. Elias Champion’s District after examination was found to be over the age of forty- five years it is therefore Ordered that he be discharged from Military Service. Andrew Edward of Capt Clayton’s district being duly returned and called as delinquent for failing to appear at the Regimental Muster held at Sparta on the 17 last was fined in the sum of three dollars---$3.00 Henry Beman a private in Capt. Mark S. Thomas’s district being duly returned and called as a delinquent for failing to appear at the Regimental Muster held at Sparta on the 17th last was fined in the Sum of three dollars & John Langford for appearing on the same day without a gun was fined one dollar. ( page 94 ) Nathaniel Brown a private in Capt. James Sharp’s district having been reported incapable of doing Military duty, by Archibald B. Ridley Surgeon. It is Ordered that he be discharged accordingly. Ordered That the line dividing the 107th & 108 districts shall run as follows, to wit, beginning at old Mrs. Newsom’s house—thence to William Collin’s –thence to James Marchman—thence to Mrs. Robinson— thence to Peytons Lundy’s—thence to Micajah Thomas’s—thence a straight line to Parrot’s lower Mill—the above named houses Shall belong to the 108th district and the line dividing the 107th & 109th districts Shall run as follows, to wit, Beginning at Mrs. Newsom’s old house, thence to William Collins—thence to James Marchman—thence to Joshua L. Acee’s— thence to Robert W. Alston and thence to the plantation of Robert H. Mapp, leaving him in the 109th district twenty feet—thence to Allen Jones –thence to where Parrot’s upper Mill formerly stood—all the above named houses Shall belong to the 107th district except Robert H. Mapp. Ordered That the line dividing the 107th & 110th districts Shall run from Malcom Johnston’s a staight line to William Lancaster—thence to Evan Harvey’s old house. ( page 95 ) James Daniell Capt of the 102nd district for when to make return of delinquencys to this Court for the Regimental Muster held at Sparta on the 17th last was fined the Sum of ten dollars. Stayed by affidavit Ensign John H. Colquitt for failing to appear at this Court on this day was fined five dollars. Ordered That the Sum of five be appropriated and paid to Capt. James Sharp for repairing Drum. Paid Ordered That the Sum of three dollars, be appropriated and paid to Capt Elias Champion for repairing Drum. Paid Ordered That the Sum of twenty-two dollars and fifty cents be appropriated and paid to Charles Coleman for transporting a cannon from Milledgeville to Sparta for the use of Capt. Well’s Artillery Company attached to the 14th Regiment. Ordered That the Clerk be allowed five dollars a day and the Pro. Vo. Marshall three dollars a day while in Service. Resloved by the Officers of the 14th & 15th Regiments convened for the purpose of defining & establishing the line between Said Regiments That the Said. Thence to Joel D. Newsoms leaving his house in the 15th Regt. Thence to the Piney Wood’s house leaving it in the 14th Regt. Thence to Samuel Ransom’s leaving his house in the 15th Regt. Thence to George Culver leaving his house in the 14th Regt. Thence to Samuel Ewing leaving his house in the 14th Regt. Thence to the East end of Broad Street Sparta, thence up Broad Street to the center of Rabun Street thence along Rabun Street to the Muster ground thence the road through the Muster ground to Majr Abercrombie’s leaving his house in the 14th Regt. Thence to George Hamilton’s leaving his house in the 14th Regt. Thence to Epps Brown’s leaving his house in the 14th Regt. Thence a straight line to Charles McDonald’s leaving his house in the 14th Regt. Thence by Ragans old place leaving it in the 14th Regt. To John Daniell’s Grainery leaving Said Daniell”s house in the 14th Regt. Thence S46. 30 E 162 chains to Burhannon’s old place thence the Same course to the Baldwin County line. Thos Hudson Col. The Court was organized and proceeded to business. George Barnes a Private in Capt. Clayton’s Company being duly returned and called as a delinquent for failing to appear at the Regimental Muster held at Sparta on the 27th last and equiped as the law directs, was fined three dollars. The following persons privates in Capt. Newdy G Connell’s Company being duly returned and called as delinquents for failing to appear at the Regimental Muster at Sparta of 27th last was fined in the Several Sums annexed to their names. Anson Brazil-----------------3.00 Edward A. Soullard---------8.00 And Stephen Thurmond for failing to make a return of his Squad warned to the Regimental Muster held on the 27th last was fined one dollar—Mr. Thurmond fine paid us by J.H. J. Ordered That Stephen Thurmond be and he is hereby discharged from doing Military duty ( page 99 ) Ordered That the Clerk of the 14th Regiment do receive as full Compensation for his Services & finding Stationary the Sum of five dollars a day together with the customary fee for issuing district Warrants. And that the Pro. Vo. Marshall be paid the Sum of four dollars a day. Ordered That the order passed on the 16th day of July 1819 altering the lines dividing the 107th and 108th districts of the this Regiment, be and the same is hereby revoked and that the established lines of the 109th district previous that time be continued. Ensign Wooton Driskell of Capt J. G. Gilbert’s Company for failing to appear at the Court of Enquiry, this day was fined ten dollars Ordered That the fine assessed against James Daniel of ten dollars at the last Regimental Court of Enquiry –and that the fine assessed against Henry D. Beman of three dollars—And that the fine assessed against Spier Bradley of three dollars at the same time be and they are hereby remitted. Ordered That the sum of ten dollars be appro ( page 100 ) priated and paid to Benjamin Fort for services rendered as Musician in full as to the present time---paid five dollars—part of the above order of James Jones ( paid $5. Ordered That the amount of George Bruce’s account for repairing the Artillery Drum be paid by the Clerk out of the funds of the Regt..
