At Sparta in the County of Hancock on the 6th day of January 1810 under the direction and Superintendency of Lieut. Col Epps Brown. Thomas Colquitt, Lieut William Connell, Lieut John Bishop, and Lieut Robert Horton by Tilman Turner Justice of the Peace After the usual oath was administered to the different Officers, the Court was formed and proceeded to the election of their Clerk and Pro. Vo. Marshall, when James H. Jones was duly Elected Clerk and Tilman Turner was duly Elected Pro. Vo. Marshall. Stephen Clements, Sergt. In Capt. Harwell’s Company being duly returned and call’d as a delinquent for failing to warn his Squad to the last Regimental Muster was fined two dollars--$2.00 The Following persons, privates in Capt Hart’s Company being duly returned and call’d as delinquents for failing to appear at the regimental Muster held at Sparta on the 28th of May last were fined in the Several Sums annexed to their names— William White fined $2.00 William Henry “ 2.00 Andrew Hodges “ 2.00 Andrew Lary “ 2.00 Ordered That James Henley of Capt Hart’s District be, and he is hereby discharged from doing Military Duty. ( page 50 ) Ordered That a fine assessed against Ingram Day ( of two dollars at a Battalion Court of Enquiry held at Henry Trippe’s on the 27th April 1810—be, and the same is hereby remitted. Ordered That Sampson Wright be, and he is hereby discharged from doing Military Duty. Capt. John Hart produced a list of fines assessed and collected in his District up to the present time, amounting to eight dollars which is ordered to be appropriated to the use of his Company. Capt. John Hart produced a list of fines assessed and collected in his District from his last return up to the present time, Amounting to two dollars. Ordered That Jackson Harwell of Capt. Thweatt’s Company be and he is hereby discharged from doing Military duty. Ordered That the Sum of Sixteen dollars be by the Pay Master paid to Tilman Turner for Services rendered as Pro. Vo. ( page 59 ) Marshall Ordered That Abijah Anderson be, and he is hereby discharged from doing Military duty. Ordered That the Sum of fourteen dollars be by the Pay Master paid to Peter Mills for Services rendered as Drum Major. Capt Benjamin I.
