     Mrs. Ann M. Pierce, wife of the late Bishop George F. Pierce, died 
at “Sunshine,” near Sparta Ga., on Wednesday, at the age of 78. She was a 
notable landmark of Methodism, a truly grand exemplar of the religion she 
professed, and was universally esteemed.
