Contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Laura Vinson Northrop bdnlvn@bellsouth.net 18 July 2002. Died, in Hancock co., Ga.: March 7th, JOHN VINSON, in the 78th year of his age. His disease was typhoid pneumonia. He professed religion forty-two or three years ago, and joined the M.E. Church, of whic he lived an humble and useful member, filling the office of an exhorter for many years previous to death. He lived in an humble sit- uation, but he was very much esteemed by all that knew him. We often visited him when in health: his theme was religion: his study was not to ac- quire wealth, but how to do good. His pious wi- dow, three daughters, and two grandchildren are left alone in his little cottage to mourn the loss of their earthly protector. A FRIEND. ******************************************************** Copyright 2002 by Laura Vinson Northrop. This copy contributed for use by USGenWeb Archives. bdnlvn@bellsouth.net
