I bequeath that all of my just debts be first paid- 2nd. I give & gequeath unto my son, Asbury Griggs & Mrs. Linnah Griggs, wife of Wm. Griggs, dec'd, three notes of hand given by Israel Palmer being date the 26 Dec. 1823 and one of them made payable the 1st. day of January 1825 for four hundred dollars, also one other made payable the 1st. of January 1826 for four hundred dollars, also one other & the last note of the three mentioned made payable the 1st. January 1827 for three hundred dollars, to be equally divided between them, the said Asbury Griggs & Linnah Griggs as aforesaid unto them & theirs forever. I do also give & bequeath unto my son, Asbury Griggs two beds & furniture which is at this time in the possession of Linnah Griggs whenever he may call for them. 3rd. I give & bequeath unto Green Berry Griggs, son of my son, William Griggs, dec'd. my horse to him & his heirs forever. 4th. I give & bequeath my best wishes unto all my unnamed children. 5th. And lastly, I give & bequeath unto my son, Asbury Griggs all the rest, residue, & remainder of my personal & real estate of every kind & nature whatsoever to him & his heirs forever. And I do hereby appoint my son, Asbury Griggs & Green Berry Griggs my sole executors of this my last will & testament, hereby revoking all other wills by me made.
