Samuel Halley of Hancock Co., weak in body. I lend to my beloved wife 
Grace Halley my whole estate during her life or widowhood, or until my 
youngest child William Halley reaches age 21, at which time all my 
property that remains (after my three children are raised and reasonably 
educated n the English language) shall be sold by my executors and dqually 
divided between my wife (should she continue to be my widow) and my three 
children John Halley, Elizabeth Emerson Halley and William Halley. My 
brother's son Samuel Halley shall have a cow and calf out of my estate.
Exors: beloved brother Nathaniel Halley and friends Robert Rivers and George 
Stephens signature. Samuel Halley
Witness: John Ribers, Peter Hutchingson, Stephen (X) Stephens.

28 Feb 1805: Gracey Halley returned voucher of moneys received by her in 
favour of the estate of Samuel Halley dec'd.
Moneys paid out: Thomas Glasscock, John Vest, William Spencer, John Knight, 
William Kelly, John Barron, William Hutchison, John Ragan, James Yarbrough. 
William __________ left blank.

Note: Grace Halley was the daughter of Matthew Durham and Fanny Elizabeth 
Spencer.  William Spencer and Thomas Spencer named were her uncles.
