I Richard Lovett being in body (sic) but in perfect mind and memory knowing the frailty of life that is provided for man once to die his body is bequeathed to Almighty lord who gave it touching my worldly affairs after my just debts is paid and funeral expenses. I bequeathed to my son David Lovett one Bed and Furniture. I bequeathed to Daughter Mary Lovett one Bed and Furniture. I bequeathed to my wife Mary Lovett the whole of my estate during her natural life and after her deceased. I bequeathed to my daughter Mary Lovett one negro boy named Green. And after the death of my wife Mary Lovett the remainder of my property is to be equally divided between my heirs Selah Castleberry, Marian Newman, Thomas Lovett, Richard Lovett, Rebecca Castleberry, Lemuel Lovett, James Lovett, David Lovett, Mary Lovett and Venna Warren I bequeathed to Jonathan Newman one dollar.
