Gilbert, being duly sworn says that the above & foregoing account of the sale of the personal property of Peyton Lundy, dec'd, is just & true to the best of his knowledge. J. G. Gilbert Sworn before me this 26th May 1824, James H. Jones, CCO. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Georgia, Hancock County, Know all men by these presents, that I Mary Lundy, for and in consideration of the sum of one thousand dollars to me in hand paid by Martha Lundy and Nancy Lundy for the hand of John G. Gilbert, adm. On the estate of Peyton Lundy deceased, it being their distributive share of said estate, hath bargained, sold, and conveyed unto the said Martha Lundy and Nancy Lundy and do by these presents bargain, sell, and convey unto the said Martha and Nancy Lundy their heirs and assigns the following negroes, Mary aged about thirty years and her four children - Anderson about six years old, Charity about five, Hardy about four, Lucy about two, all the aforesaid bargained property, I the said Mary Lundy do by these presents warrant and defend the right and title thereof unto the said Martha Lundy and Mary Lundy (should be "nancy") their heirs and assigns from myself, my heirs, and all other person or persons whatever. In witness whereof, I have hereto set my hand and seal this twenty eighth day of January eighteen hundred and thirty one in the presence of Barnaby Shivers and A. E. Reeves, J.P.
