I, Jane Strother of Hancock County, State of Georgia, being sick at present but of sound mind and memory, for which blessing I thank God, and being mindful of death, do make ordain and constitute this my last will and testament. First, I give and recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it to me, my body to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my friends not doubting but I shall receive it again at the general resurrection. As touching such worldly property, where with it has pleased God to bless me, I give, devise and dispose of the same in the following manner, viz. First, I give to my son David Strother, Peggy a woman, Frances a girl, and Bailey a boy, and Lamina a girl and Nathan a man, to him and his heirs forever. I give and bequeath unto my son Aaron Strother, a Negro man Lewis. My will further is that my Negro woman Lucy, Liza a girl and Elliot a boy be sold and the proceeds of said sale I give to my daughter Anna Moody. I give to my daughter Patty Stroud five dollars. I give to my son John Strother five dollars. I give to my son George Strother five dollars. I give to my son Richard five dollars. I give to my son James Strother five dollars. I give to my daughter Elizabeth King five dollars. My further will and desire is that the residue of my property, after paying off the above legacies and all just debts, revert to my son David Strother. I appoint my son Richard, my sole executor to this my last will and testament. And I hereby revoke, disamend and disallow all former wills and testaments, allowing this and none other to be my last will and testament. In witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and fixed my seal this 25th of April 1830.
