At this time, I do not have alot of information on this family. William Tolbert Head married Nancy C.R. McDonald. The first sign of William Tolbert Head in Haralson County is in 1879 based on a deed at the Haralson County Courthouse where he purchased land. At the present time, the exact date of death is unknown. Nancy died in 1922 and her death certificate indicates that she is married. We know William Tolbert was in Haralson County in April 1921 because of a deed he made to his son, George Washington Head. The strange part of the deed is that he left the land to George Washington Head in exchange for taking care of Nancy C.R. McDonald Head. It is not known if W.T. Head was sick himself or planned on leaving Haralson. William and Nancy had 4 children; Sarah J, Louella, William Tolbert and George Washington Head. Sarah J married Jackson Golden, Louella married John H Sanford. William Tolbert married Della Rosa Lee Smith and George Washington Head married Ruth Alice Ballenger. William Tolbert had 7 siblings; Frances, Thomas, James, John Henry, Henry H, Jemima and Harriet B. It appears that only John Henry was also in Haralson County. We are not sure what brought these two brothers to Haralson County. Their father, Peter was never in Haralson County.
