Budapest Cemetery Inscriptions Haralson County, GA

BUDAPEST CEMETERY is located East of Tallapoosa Ga on Landfill Road, off
Hwy 78.. The cemetery has a large arch over the walkway into the cemetery
and a split rail fence across the roadfront.  It would appear no burials
have taken place since 1956.  This survey was made by Liz Robertson on
June 2, 1999. There are nine graves marked with wooden crosses.

Supposedly these people were of the Hungarian Colony migrating to
Haralson Co., during the boon years and tried to establish a wine colony.
John Knapp is the only person listed on the 1900 Haralson Co. GA.
census so far as I can find.  He immigrated to New York in 1890.
