Some were within a family plot and one could assume that the grave was a member of that family, however, many were single graves or graves along side each other. Mr. Lowell Long, who was a lifelong resident of the Little Vine community, in his adult life time, maintained a ledger record of many of the people buried in the cemetery and who did not have a tombstone or marker to identify the grave at the time of burial. Some of the graves were later identified by a marker placed there by a family member. Some of these were in Mr. Long's records. Many other graves have not been adentified, and therefore, it has been our effort to use Mr. Long's records to identfy some of those graves. They are incorporated in the listing of the cemetery. There are still a few that we were unable to place, because the directions given by Mr. Long has changed due to burials after he ceased to maintain the records and do not fit his description as to there location. In order to recognize these graves, we are listing them here, not knowing their exact location in the cemetery. We are giving Mr. Long's name and location of them. Sandra Estes Allen shows the following names that she has not found in the cemetery nor on the list of unmarked graves by Lowell Long. Anyone with information on any of these, or any grave not listed, it would be appreciate if you would contact one of the transcribers.
