"Bud" Hicks, well known in this county, was tried in Haralson Superior court 
last week charged with assault with intent to murder, on the person of Mr. 
Hesterly. The trial resulted in the jury finding him guilty of assault. The 
sentence of the Judge was the payment of $300. and all costs or 12 months in 
the chain gang.
