She was in her Fifty-Eighth year when called to the Great Beyond. She leaves six Sons and six Daughters and a host of relatives to mourn her going away. She was tenderly laid to rest, May 26th, 1931 at Eureka Cemetery to await the coming of our Blessed Savior. Our hearts are bowed in sorrow for our precious mother who has gone, leaving us to fight our battle in this sinful world. Cheer up, Dear Children, and listen to that sweet consoling song, "A Sleep in Jesus", and let your hearts be strong. If she could only tell us how happy now is she, she would not come back to earth even if that could be. We must think of her in Heaven. She is not beneath the sod for her spirit dwells with Jesus, and her soul returned to God. Do not think that she will not know you. In that world so bright and fair, for she will be the first to meet you, when you mount the Golden Stairs. She is resting, resting free from pain, never to sorrow or suffer again; Standing inside the Gates of Gold. Waiting for her Loved Ones to Greet Her in the Sweet Bye and Bye. Her Daughter, Mrs. W. Homer Phillips Additional Comments: This was shared with me by Granddaughter, Winnett (Crumbley) Crouch. Mrs. Crouch writes: "I do not know that it came from a newspaper...I was told that the daughter had this done and was given to family members...it is a typed copy that I have...not a newspaper copy. I do not mind you putting it in the Coweta County, Ga. Archives as long as they understand I intend to print it in a book one day." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Direct Descendants of James Monroe Windham 1 James Monroe Windham b: 25 Sep 1842 in Georgia d: 30 Jun 1899 in near Luthersville, Meriwether Co., Georgia Burial: Holly Springs Cemetery, s/of Moreland, Coweta Co., Georgia +Rebecca Ann Nixon b: 1843-1850 in Meriwether Co., Georgia m: 28 Dec 1859 in Campbell Co., Georgia d: Abt 1915 in At Home of Youngest son, Edward - 2nd District, Coweta Co., Georgia Father: Francis Nixon Mother: Anna Ray ~ 2 Frances Viola "Ola" Windom b: 15 Jun 1873 in Campbell Co., Georgia d: 25 May 1931 in Haralson Co., Georgia Burial: Eureka Baptist Church Cemetery - Carrollton, Carroll Co., Georgia ~~ +William Samuel "Will" Crumbley b: 7 Oct 1871 in Henry Co., Georgia m: 12 Jan 1896 in Carroll Co., Georgia d: 30 Mar 1944 in Carroll Co., Georgia Father: George T.
