Georgia Planter Is Found Dead Of Pistol Wound

Tallapoosa, Ga., November 10 – A bullet hole in his left breast and a pistol 
clasped in his right hand led officers to believe that Dave Phillips, 36, 
farmer, of Waco, had ended his own life when his body was found in his home 
Monday afternoon.

Phillips recently had sold his farm and bought a store at Kansas, a small 
station near Waco.  He has aroused attention by strange actions during the 
last week, and he had been under the care of physicians and friends for 
several days. 
 
Phillips is survived by his wife and several grown children.
