Green Berry Waldrop 1794-18854 was a working member of the Georgia Baptist Association. (Presbytery 1827-1840) The Columbus Baptist Association was organized November 22, 1829 at Mulberry Meeting Houses then, now known as New Hope Baptist Church, ten miles from here at Mulberry Grove. Twelve Churches reporting from Talbot, Harris and Muscogee Counties. Churches from Harris County included Bethesda, Mulberry Meeting Hall, Mount Olive and Hamilton Baptist Church , then Lebanon. 1840 Rev. Green Berry Waldrop left Harris County, Georgia and moved to DeSoto County, Mississippi and he died there in 1854. He continued his word for God thru out his life until death.
