He was buried at the old home place in Harris county Sunday. Mr. Grant was well known to the people of Talbotton, having spent a good deal of his time here with his daughter, Mrs. Charley Grant, of this place. Mr. Grant’s boyhood days were in the times of “Tippecanoe and Tyler too.” By his frequent saying of this popular phrase when he was a boy he came to be called “Tip” Grant.
