W.H. BRITTAIN LOSES HER VENERABLE MOTHER The many friends of Mrs. W.H. Brittain sympathize with her in the loss of her venerable mother Mrs. Sarah Maddox which occurred at her old home near Whitesville, Ga., on Monday. Mrs. Maddox was nearly 83 years of age and had beenin delicate health for several years. She was a sweet, christian woman, loved by all who knew her and had many friends in Roanoke, where she frequently visited in past years. Funeral and interment were at Whitesville on Tuesday afternoon. In addition to the relatives in Roanoke, a number of friends form this place attended the funeral.
