Brannon, one of the most prominent citizens of Harris County, died at his home in Waverly Hall on Thursday afternoon. Judge Brannon was in the 74th year of his age, a successful farmer and an influential citizen. He was a long and useful member of the Methodist church, liberal with his means and one who took great interest in the welfare of the same. He was loved and honored by all who knew him, and but few men could be more sadly missed by both rich and poor than Judge Brannon. It can truly be said of him that he served his church, his family and his country well. Surely such a man has gone to reap a rich reward in glory.
