She was a most remarkable child for her sweetness of nature and her brightness of mind. It can be truthfully said of her that “None knew her but to love her, None named thee but to praise.” *Note – In the February 21st issue of the The Talbotton New Era on page one, there is an article written about Edith Howard Owen. It states she was eight years old at the time of her death and she passed away on February 3, 1907 after a week’s illness of typhoid fever.
